TO BUILD A HOME

By:Michael Igele

To build a good home:

A good land must be acquired on love
The architect of trust employed
Foundation of understanding set
Its pillars must be constructed in patience
And its cement made from humility
Its roofs must shield against quarrels and grudges
Its windows must allow air of forgiveness
Its bathroom must flush off all misunderstandings

Running quarrels and grudges to the sewage
Anxiety and stress of the day are washed at the bathroom
Allowing fresh looks to marry the body
Its walls must wear paints of harmony
And the floor tiled in sharing
Each room must tame all weakness
Every voice must be in smooth appeals
Her bedroom must make space for tears and cheers
Compromise must lay problems to sleep
A home is the cage where love is captured

And joy resides joyfully even in pain.
