MAJOR PROBLEMS OF AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT
To start from last
article which was published on the 8th of August ,2015; I believe we all understand what agriculture is all about and the
importance of it to life. Today I will continue from where I stop. As we
already known the importance, let us go straight down to the major problems of
agriculture.
MAJOR
PROBLEMS OF AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT
Developing
countries faced numerous problems which militates against the development of
Agriculture. Some of them are:
o Problems of
Land Tenure
o Problem of
Basic Amenities
o Poor Financing
o Poor
Transportation
o Poor
Communication
o Problems of
Good Storage and Processing Facilities
o Lack of Good
Agricultural Education
o Poor Extension

o Poor Tools and
Farm Machines
o Unstable
Policies and Programs of Government
o Poor Marketing
System
o Pest and
Diseases
o Unpredictable
Climate
o Agricultural
Inputs Use
o Sociological
and Psychological Attitude Towards Farming
o Snuggling
o Environmental
Degradation
The problems are
highlighted, now I will explain the problems one after the other.
Land is one of
the most important factors in agricultural production. Land tenure is the way
land is owned in a society. The prevailing land tenure systems in the country
often discourage agricultural land utilisation. Land is owned by inheritance
hence land is fragmented over generations. Increase in population has increased
the various alternatives to which land can be put. This further puts pressure
on all the available land.
I really
appreciate your time in reading this little article. Next article, I will
continue from where I stop using the highlighted problem, just want you to go
over it and add to this, with your believe and your orientation about this
Noble Sector. I hope to see your comment.
Thanks
