 WHAT IS ADDICTION?

It is not good to be addicted to something too much like drinking alcohol, sex, cocaine and smoke etc. Because it can cause damages in your body.

 Addiction can be define as repeated involvement with a substance or activity, despite the substantial harm it now causes, because that involvement was pleasurable and valuable. It also meant an uncontrollable habit of using alcohol or other drugs.

                             WHAT ARE THE CAUSES OF ADDICTION?

Causes of addiction are as follow;

1. Negative feelings: Drugs and alcohol serve a purpose for users who are often looking to minimize pain and maximize pleasure. Users who become addicted often start because of negative feelings such as sadness, loneliness, discomfort, and restlessness.

2. Feeling out of control: As addiction progresses, users may feel as though they are losing control over their thoughts and behaviors. Those with an addiction often report feeling unable to refrain from engaging in drug use.

3. Environment: Exposure to addictive substances, social pressure, lack of social support, and poor coping skills can also lead to addictions.

                              SOLUTIONS TO ADDICTION

Addiction have treatment but the processing might take time before it cure finally and the solutions are as follow;

1. Medications:It helps to treat craving and withdrawal symptoms as well as other drugs to treat underlying mental disorders such as anxiety or depression.

2. Hospitalization: In some cases, people may need to be hospitalized in order to treat potentially serious complications while they detox from a substance.

3. Support groups and self-help: Meeting in-person or online support groups can be a great resource for education and social support as people learn new ways to cope during recovery.
