PMS (Practical Marketing and Selling)
I am sure you will all agree with me that in recent years the need for marketers has greatly Increased; virtually every organization in Nigeria now requests for 90% of the services of the workforce to work as a marketer or sales persons, and the remaining 10% to share the administrative and managerial work. It is therefore obvious that the majority if available jobs is in marketing and the 90% of Nigerians in the labour market have no choice than to go for those jobs whether they have marketing experience or not. That is why we find engineers, pharmacists, geologists, accountants, economists, microbiologists, bio-chemists and many more in the marketing department selling company products-- doing the duties of marketers. Certainly this will have negative effect on the company’s sales, productivity, brand image, customer satisfaction and loyalty and company's growth in general.
