Peak Pathway Magazine in conjunction with  Agricultural Youth Empowerment Organization wants to encourage the youths to look inward and see the opportunities embedded in farming. There are many ways to get to the top Not focusing on white collar job only.


As people do ask in their heart, What is Agriculture all about?

"Agriculture is the science or practice of cultivating the soil and rearing of animals. Agriculture is the cultivation of animals, plants, fungi and other life forms for food, fiber, and other products used to sustain life"

These are definition given from textbooks from online scholars and others, Which i believe we all suppose to have heard or known before now.

BUT

Agriculture is beyond the wall of this definition if we could go by the way of its importance and also by the way of sociological and psychological effect on human.


What are the Importance of Agriculture?

Some major importance of agriculture will be highlighted
o A basis for research
o Opportunities for the economic use of land
o Raw materials for industry
o opportunities for aesthetic appreciation
o Employment and revenue
o Scope for recreational activities
o Foreign exchange

With all this importance, if Agriculture is properly financed and practised, a nation will move from the state of underdeveloped to developed country because all this importance brings a greater development to a Nation.
