10 Powerful Ways to Trust Yourself
Follow your bliss. If you do follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while waiting for you, and the life you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in the field of your bliss, and they open the doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be. If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that wouldn’t have opened for anyone else.” ~
I’ve
come to a point in my life where I understand that life isn’t about
learning anything new, but rather about unlearning all the nonsense we
have learned so that we can remember the Truth of who we are and live
our lives from that sacred and powerful place.
Here are 12 powerful ways to trust yourself and allow your inner Knowing to guide you through life:
1. Stop being so “busy”
We
run around like crazy people doing so many things that have little or
no importance at all. And because we are so busy being busy, we begin to
think we have no time to be still. We have no time left to silence our
minds and get in tune with our inner Truth, Knowing and Joy.
But we do. We really, really, really, really do!
2. Be still and Know
Take 5 – 10 minutes out of your busy schedule to just be still.
Close your eyes.
Take a few deep cleansing breaths and slow down your mind.Listen to the sound of Silence.
Reconnect with the Truth of who you are and allow yourself to experience the Peace that is present underneath all that chaos and mental noise. That’s all it takes. Do this every day
and you will notice a huge difference in the quality of your well-being
and the level of Trust you have in yourself.
3. Nobody Knows more than you do
If you ask me, we place
too much importance on what other people think, and not too much value
on what we Know in our hearts to be true for us.
We ignore our Truth and
Inner Knowing by making idols out of those who seem to be smarter and
wiser than we are, and we fail to realize that nobody knows more about
ourselves and our Life path than we Ourselves do.
You Know a lot more than you think, and you can tap into this Inner Knowing by learning to Trust yourself.
4. Take back Your Personal Power
We
give so much power over ourselves to forces outside of us – people,
places, events and situations – and because we assume They all know a
lot more than We do, we make all kind of choices and decisions based on
what the world thinks is good for us, not based on what we Know to be
right and true for ourselves.
You are not small and insignificant. You are powerful beyond measure. And you might as well stop giving your power away to forces outside of you. Your power is yours to use and to keep.
Keep it to yourself!
5. Have Faith
If I have learned something from my journey through the Dark Night of the Soul
is that the Soul Knows a lot more than the mind does. And at times, in
order to protect the Truth and Sacredness of who we are from the
impurities of the mind, it will need us to learn how to.
6. You are not alone.
“If you knew who walked beside you at all times, on the path that you have chosen, you could never experience fear or doubt again.”
You
are never alone, not even in those moments of intense pain and darkness
when you feel as though the whole world has turned its back on you.
You are not alone!
And
if you remember this at all times, you will find the inner strength,
courage, and confidence to Trust yourself and to Be all that life
created you to be.
7. Be a friend to yourself
A wonderful and powerful way to strengthen the trust you have in yourself is to become a friend to yourself.
To love yourself for who you are, and to forgive yourself for who you aren’t.
To offer yourself the love, support and respect you desperately seek outside yourself.
And to seek and treat yourself as you would want the world to treat you.
8. Keep some things to yourself
You
don’t have to share all your troubles, inner turmoils, your fears,
doubts, joys, laughter, dreams and aspirations with those around you.
You really don’t. And you know why?
Because
most people don’t care about your troubles, they have plenty of their
own. Nor can they genuinely be happy for your happiness, since most of
them assume there is a shortage of happiness, and if you have some,
they’ll have less of it or none.
Keep things to yourself.
And if you find a friend who
can laugh when you laugh, and cry when you cry, share with them the
things you hold dear to your heart. If not, keep them to yourself.
9. Don’t let other people’s fears become your own
Don’t
let other people’s fears and insecurities become your own. Stay
centered in your Truth. Trust yourself and keep walking no matter how
slow. You’ll get there eventually.
10. You have it all with you
Everything you need to know about your life and why you are here, it’s already within you.
It’s all in there.
And
the more you learn to Trust yourself and your inner wisdom, the easier
it becomes for you to relax into life and allow yourself to be showered
with all kind of precious gifts and blessings.
It’s all in You!
Trust Yourself, I Trust in YOU.
