A report published by the Annals of Internal Medicine has found that more than half of the average person’s waking life is spent sitting. Much of that, we can assume, is at a desk, hunched over a computer. That report, which uses findings gleaned from 47 health studies on sedentary behavior, found that people, including those who exercise, who sit for long stretches of time have a higher risk of dying from heart disease and diabetes.
