WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE GIVING UP

Your Mind is a Suggestion Engine Consider every thought you have as a suggestion, not an order. Right now, my mind is suggesting that I feel tired. It is suggesting that I give up. It is suggesting that I take an easier path. If I pause for a moment, however, I can discover new suggestions. My mind is also suggesting that I will feel very good about accomplishing this work once it is done. It is suggesting that I will respect the identity I am building when I stick to the schedule. It is suggesting that I have the ability to finish this task, even when I don’t feel like. Remember, none of these suggestions are orders. They are merely options. I have the power to choose which option I follow. Discomfort Is Temporary Relative to the time in your normal day or week, nearly any habit you perform is over quickly. Your workout will be finished in an hour or two. Your report will be typed to completion by tomorrow morning. This article will be finished in just a moment. Life is easier now tha

BAD BREATH

Bad breath is a common problem that can cause significant psychological distress. If particles of food are left in the mouth, their breakdown by bacteria produces sulfur compound i.e it can lead to bad breath/odour. There are some ways to prevent or treat bad breath but before that let look at what causes bad breath first.                                       CAUSES OF BAD BREATH Bad breath can be cause through the following; 1. Tobacco: Tobacco products cause their own types of mouth odor. Additionally, they increase the chances of gum disease which can also cause bad breath. 2. Food:   The breakdown of food particles stuck in the teeth can cause odors. Some foods such as  onions   and garlic can also cause bad breath. After they are digested, their breakdown products are carried in the blood to the lungs where they can affect the breath. 3. Dry mouth:   Saliva naturally cleans the mouth. If the mouth is naturally dry or dry due to a specific disease, such as  xerostomia , odors can

REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY

Every day you are faced with a million little traps that encourage you to take your life way too seriously. The frustrations of 21 st   century living come in many forms such as slow internet connections, people who drive at a snail’s pace, and choosing what to wear to an event with an ambiguous dress code. It is easy to get caught up in perpetual flow of decisions and events that make up our lives and to forget that most of the challenges we are faced with are only as stressful as we choose to let them be. Next time you are tempted to smash your computer or lash out in a fit of road rage, remember these reasons not to take life so seriously. 1. The world is ridiculous Objectively speaking, civilization is ridiculous. Next time you are at a scenic overlook or an elementary school Christmas pageant, take a second to look around and count the number of people who are experiencing the beauty of nature or the adorable miscues through small LCD rectangles instead of with their own eyes.

THE 14th HEADIES AWARD: RIGHTING WRONGS,SLOW BUILDUPS AND DASTARDLY MISTAKES

Image
Better planning could have saved the 14th Headies, but its production was irresponsible, haphazard and unprofessional. Most categories had compelling wins, but horrible wins, pandering and credibility issues linger. On February 21, 2021, the 14th edition of Nigeria's premier music award, The Headies was held via virtual and live means due to COVID-19 restrictions. The glitz collided with the glamour; foundation swallowed eyelashes, face masks disrupted identification and the sense of style of new-age Nigerian artists was caught in-between wannabe streetwear of the homeless and taking excessive liberty with athleisure. Y’all should know when to stop; branding starts with simple decisions and a sense of occasion. Also importantly, ‘vibe’ must be sorry that it ever came out of  Fresh L ’s tweet in Q1 2020 because it must have been said over 78 million times on the red carpet. Some performances on the night had been pre-recorded and the live event - which featured nominees - was held

ABSOLUTE SUCCESS VS. RELATIVE SUCCESS

One way to answer this question is to say: Luck matters more in an absolute sense and hard work matters more in a relative sense. The absolute view considers your level of success compared to everyone else. What makes someone the best in the world in a particular domain? When viewed at this level, success is nearly always attributable to luck. Even if you make a good initial choice—like Bill Gates choosing to start a computer company—you can’t understand all of the factors that cause world-class outcomes. As a general rule, the wilder the success, the more extreme and unlikely the circumstances that caused it. It's often a combination of the right genes, the right connections, the right timing, and a thousand other influences that nobody is wise enough to predict. As a general rule, the wilder the success, the more extreme and unlikely the circumstances that caused it. Then there is the relative view, which considers your level of success compared to those similar to you. What ab

SELF APPRECIATION

Self - appreciation  is about turning the kindness you give to others inwards. Instead of blaming yourself for making mistakes or forget to do things,   self - appreciation  is about saying “thank you” to yourself for all the things you have done but taken for granted.  Self-appreciation is not a commonly used term. Most people confuse self-appreciation with self esteem  and self-confidence. But self-appreciation is actually very unlike the other two.  Self-appreciation is the   process   of appreciating yourself. Appreciating yourself is about being grateful   for yourself. You can be: Thankful that your body is functioning properly. Grateful that you are given your natural talents and gifts. Appreciative towards your weakness too. For example, "even though I’m not good at leading a team or negotiating a deal, I do appreciate my quiet and reflective nature as an introvert."  Also, there’s nothing egoistic about self-appreciative. Some may think, “I can’t toot my own horn. I’
