THE WINNING CODES

In life, we are all part of a unique race; there is only one man on the track and that person is YOU. The reason many people don’t win in life is that they are not even aware of the race let alone running to win in the race. You must realize that some are early starters while some are late finishers e.g. Nelson Mandela. Your life will begin to take a new turn the day you realize that you are not necessarily in a race with anyone but yourself, which is to become a better person than you were the last time. I believe everyone is uniquely designed for a purpose and our life assignment; which will, in turn, give us satisfaction and the significance is to discover that purpose, stay on it until you fulfill it. Hence, the reason for these thoughts; I would like to share with you some time-proven truths that will help you continually win in your unique race no matter the phase you are right now.

CODE #1: DARE TO DREAM AGAIN
Your dream is where you have the opportunity to visit the future and then return to start the process. Our minds have the capacity to do 3 things: Memorize- replay the past; Contemplate- ponder the present; Imagine- see the future. We need to make more use of our imagination if we must win in life. No one enters into the future they cannot see. Dare to dream again even if you have failed before. Please realize that failure is just an event and also a part of life. Failure is not fatal except it is made so! Let me share a few tips to help you strengthen your dream:
• Visualize it- see yourself winning exactly the way you hope to become.
• Find the ideal environment that encourages you to dream. It might be a time, place or ambiance.
• Involve your family in your dreams; it will help you to be accountable and focused on your dreams.
CODE #2: HAVE A CRUSADE
A crusade is simply something that is bigger than you are. It is a cause with an impact that reaches beyond your personal wants and needs. Strong lives are motivated by dynamic purposes. You must stand for something or you will die for nothing. When certain names are mentioned in history it depicts something e.g. Dora Akunyili, Gani Fawehinmi, Nelson Mandela, Fela Durotoye, etc. Below are a few characteristics of Crusaders:
• They have a giving mentality- always thinking “what’s in me for it” and not “what’s in it for me”.
• Ever committed and sold out- always willing to go the extra mile and pay the price even the supreme price sometimes.
• Honest with integrity-
CODE #3: TREAT PEOPLE GOOD
Treat people as you want them to treat you. Every man is valuable and no one is a nonentity. Learn to build the bridge into people’s heart and watch how they will give you their hands willingly.
