7 Signs Your Mistakes Have Made You Stronger Even Though You Don’t Feel So
We all make mistakes. It’s part of life. The beauty of making
mistakes is that it gives us a valuable opportunity to learn and grow as
a person. Yes, the consequences of making a mistake is quite difficult
to accept, and it can be hard at times. But if you are able to accept
them, it does make you a better person in the end – although it can be a
bit tricky to know in time.
There are many signs which show you that your mistakes can make you a stronger person.
In this article I will show you the seven signs which will show you how
your mistakes can make you a stronger person, even though you don’t
feel so.
1. You are more calmer when you confront a similar situation
When
you realize you are about to make the same mistake as before, you’ll
know how to handle the situation. You will be much more calmer. Although
you may not know this, but your past mistake has served as a valuable
opportunity for you to gain experience. And when you have gained
experienced in something, you will be more assured of yourself.
2. You don’t dwell on your past mistakes
This
sign may be not be spotted so easily without practicing self-awareness.
If you have learned from your mistake, you will be able to move on.
This will allow you to proceed to the next chapter of your life. And
when you can comfortably go on to this next chapter, you no longer dwell
on your past mistakes. In fact, whenever you do look back to your
mistake, you will appreciate how far you have come.
3. You’re are grateful for the lessons that you have learned from your mistakes
There
are two ways to look at your mistakes. The first way is by forgetting
that you ever made the mistake in first place, and the second way is to
accept your mistake and see what you can learn from it. If you have
chosen the latter option, you will become more grateful. By viewing
every mistake as an opportunity to learn to better yourself, you will
become more motivated in becoming the best version of yourself.
4. You are more present
Since
you don’t dwell on your mistakes from the past, that means you don’t
worry about making the same mistakes in the future. People who don’t
learn from their mistakes tend to constantly worry about the past and
future. But not you though, since you chose to learn from your mistakes,
you don’t worry about the future or the past, you focus on the present.
5. You’ve matured
Being
able to learn from past mistakes is definitely a sign of maturity. When
you show maturity, you have accepted total responsibility of your
actions that caused the mistake in the first place. People who don’t
tend to learn from their mistakes will try to pass on the blame to
others. Maturity is a clear sign that you are developing a strong mentality.
6. You are more humble
Following
on from the previous point, accepting the fact that your actions have
caused your mistake to happen in the first place, allows you to become
more humble. You demonstrate more humility and you actually relate to
people much better, especially to those who have, or are about to, make
the same mistake as you.
7. You are wiser
This last
sign is a bit like Yoda and Star Wars. If you accepted the fact that
making mistakes gives you the opportunity to learn, then with each
mistake you make, you will become a little bit wiser. And since you are
more humble and show humility, you have this urge to share this newly
profound knowledge. Even though you may not pass on your insightful
wisdom in a preachy type of way, you totally understand that it is up to
the other person to accept your wise words.
