Chemistry is important because everything you do is chemistry! Even your body is made of chemicals. Chemical reactions occur when you breathe, eat, or just sit there reading. All matter is made of chemicals, so the importance of chemistry is that it's the study of everything. It is like your eyes are drawn to them and you cannot look away even if you try. You know the chemistry is there if the two people stare into each other's eyes when talking and interacting with each other. The stare may become so intense that they may have to look away from each other. In the context of relationships, chemistry is a simple "emotion" that two people get when they share a special connection. It is the impulse making one think "I need to see this [other] person again" - that feeling of "we click". Good chemistry can happen between a romantic partner and someone you just really click with.
