LIVE AND LET LIVE

The proverb "Live and Let Live is of Dutch origin, and is first recorded in The Ancient Law Merchant compiled by G. De Malynes and others, and published in 1622. It was later included in a book of English proverbs collected by John Ray in 1678. A person should live as he or she chooses and let other people do the same. His philosophy was to live and let live. The same way you want your opinion to be aired allow people air theirs too Give people room to do whatever they want to do. You should tolerate the opinions and behaviour of others so that they will similarly tolerate your own. Live and let live means not only letting others to live but also giving respect to their stand, privacy and freedom. We should not allow anybody to get into our privacy and on the other hand we should not let our nose into others’ matters unless they call us for help. Practicing life in this way will help us to keep ourselves free from fight, quarrel, conflict and contradiction with others. A person who is leaving others to live will experience his life to be overwhelming with joy. The person will always get positive responses from others. When we live and let live our life becomes easy and satisfied. A normal man will be transformed into a noble man only when he follows the principle of live and let live. Only when we let others to live we shall live our life peacefully. A person who involves in others life or restrict others in their own lives will lead a life full of sorrow or frustration. In today’s world there is a steady decrease in the nature of tolerance among the people which in turn lead to protest, crimes and other illegal activities. Today’s competitive world follows the principle of “Survival of the fittest”, which would lead to the hunting one human by the other. The tendency of letting others to go forward or giving up something for others who really deserves it is becoming invisible in the society. This tendency starts from home. The parents want their child to be the topper in whatever he/she does and they also insist them not to allow anybody to lead them. The result would sow a seed of intolerance, jealous and enmity in the young minds. This would have a very vehemence effect in the society. These simple issues would lead to a big serious issue in the future. The violence against women is a small outcome of the in tolerance and the thought of not letting others to live. We should live and let live to make this world beautiful and only when each one of us let others to live in. We shall regain the Paradise lost once again otherwise the paradise lost will be lost forever. So as the proverb says live and let live to lead a life of Purity.
