OBSESSION

Obsession, the root cause of most vices, it's a state where one's thoughts are consumed by a particular thing or person. When someone is obsessed, they've lost control of their feelings about the object of their obsession.
Always thinking of getting that money, beauty, fame, body; That's obsession!!!
Obsession goes deeper than addressed, if not curbed early can lead to severe mental issues. It eventually gives way to evil thoughts.
There are several causes of obsession, one of which is Jealousy; Jealousy is the feeling of anger/resentment or unhappiness towards someone or something, untamed jealousy often leads to obsession, wanting to get other people's possession or envying someone's success hence being obsessed on achieving the same success.

There are several ways of getting rid of obsession:
Getting over an obsession is no simple task, but once you learn how to stop feeding the obsession and divert your energy to new people and interests, freedom will be within reach.
Recognizing obsession is the first step to solving it. Under the cause before working on it.
Free your mind: Get some distance from the source of your obsession. When you're obsessed with someone or something, being in close proximity can make it impossible to think about anything else. The closer you are to your obsession, the harder it will be to stop thinking about it. Putting physical distance between yourself and your obsession will help you gain mental distance too. Feeding an obsession can give pleasure, so it's really hard to break the habit. Just thinking about the source of your obsession will strengthen its control over you. In order to break the obsession, you've got to starve it.
Focus on things you've neglected. When you have an obsession, you don't have time for anything else like staying on top of your work, instead of wasting your time getting obsessed, utilize it be working on things you abandoned.
Also, penning down one's thoughts gets rid of obsession, write down your thoughts and work on it. You can also form new habits/interests.

Finally, turn your obsession to something positive by being productive, get rid of every envy/jealousy in you, and don't let the obsession limit your world.
