THE PARABLE OF THE KETTLE

Once upon a time, a kettle approached its maker and poured out its displeasure about its configuration.
With so much dissatisfaction it began complaining;

"I don't want to be a kettle!
Why did You even make me a kettle in the first place?
What didn't You make me a golden teacup?
Why didn't You form me into a choice vessel that is admired and appreciated by all?
Why did You make me a common kitchen utensil that gets its bottom heated up every now and then, all for a small teacup to take the accolades?"

On and on it went... Grumbling and complaining then its Maker decided to respond.

Smiling at the ingratitude, ignorance, and foolishness of His creature, the Maker replied;

"You were made a kettle for a reason, a fundamental kitchen utensil for a purpose.
Though you may not understand, yet the purpose is honorable!
You were made in this fashion, with this set of abilities for a specific reason.
And let me tell you this, You are NOT less valuable than the Teacup. No!
Neither are you less important than any of my creation.
You see, you were made a kettle so that the teacup could find usage.

Do you know that without you there wouldn't be any need for the teacup?
Without you, it would lose its relevance!
You were formed to give meaning to the life of another creature of Mine.
You were given the ability to conduct heat so you could make hot water available for the teacup.
Though your work seems to be hidden and many times unappreciated, but.....
